Pfizer Australia and Political Donations

Pfizer Australia donations to political parties are both even-handed and modest by Australian corporate standards.

Director of Corporate Policy, Greg Massey, was responding to a statement on ABC Radio this morning by Labor Finance spokesman Senator Bob McMullan that Pfizer Australia donations to the Coalition had totalled $80,000 over the last six years.

“Our donations to the ALP for the same period total $75,000,” Mr Massey said.

“Donations by Pfizer Australia to all political parties since the last Federal election total $116,000, with 51 percent to the Coalition and 40 percent to Labor.

Mr Massey said Pfizer Australia’s political donations are almost always for attendance at functions.
